I’ve been trying to make my yoga practice a daily habit so I decided to challenge myself to 100 days of yoga. I always like having a goal to work toward and instead of making excuses about work, life, being tired, (walking the dogs, hanging out with my boyfriend, cleaning – I’m really good at excuses!), etc, I decided to just buckle down and see if I could dedicate at least 20 minutes a day to my practice. I figure by the end of 100 days it will be a natural part of my day, like showering and eating
And you better believe it’s just as important!
So that’s the goal: practice at least 20 minutes of yoga everyday for the next 100 days. I’d love to make it to class everyday, but I know that on some days it’s just not going to happen. Instead of limiting myself with unreasonable goals, I’ve armed myself with new teachers and classes to explore and yoga podcasts for days when I can’t make it to the studio. Some of the podcasts are as short as 20 minutes, so even on busy days I can squeeze in some mat time. (Reviews on the best/worst yoga podcasts to come!)
Today marks day 3 – so far so good!
that’s a pretty brave, yet awesome, goal. i’m going to see if i can do 30 days in the same amount of time. keep me motivated!
yeah! we’ll help motivate each other! i’m going to post regular updates – let me know how you’re doing too!
