iPhone App: Yoga Moves
28 JanI love my iPhone. It’s well designed and has greatly simplified my life. Perhaps the best feature of Apple’s iPhone is the ability to download and use third party applications. There are tons of great ones out there and many of them are free. While I haven’t yet found my favorite, I’ve tried several health and fitness applications. First up: Yoga Moves

Happy Obama Day!
20 JanHappy OBAMA Day!

I just spoke to my 85 year-old grandmother (happy birthday, Bonne Maman!) and she said that they were going to watch the inauguration coverage at 5pm (10am Eastern – that’s now!). It’s amazing to see the world come together to support the US. They’re ready for us to get our act together, let’s make them proud!!
And, let’s celebrate change today – change for our nation and change for each of us. What positive changes can you make in your life?! How can you make 2009 your best year ever?!
More to come on the many positive changes Obama’s administration will bring and my own personal journey of growth in 2009!

Nonstick vegetable oil spray or small amount of vegetable oil
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sweetener (agave nectar, barley malt, honey or maple syrup)
1 tablespoon curry powder or garam masala powder or Chinese 5-spice powder (or a mix of your own)
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
12 ounces hulled pumpkin seeds (about 2 1/2 cups)
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Spray with nonstick spray or brush lightly with oil.
3. Whisk egg white, lime juice, and oil in large bowl.
4. Add next 4 ingredients; whisk.
5. Add pumpkin seeds; toss. Transfer to baking sheet, spreading evenly.
